The 2017 annual headteachers' conference is now being organised in response to the very helpful evaluations made by delegates at this year's event. The most popular request was for speakers who are themselves head teachers and have significant stories to tell about their schools. We have been able to invite a secondary and a primary head (more details to follow) who should be able to offer inspiration, thoughts and practical ideas for you to take back to your own schools.
By request also we have been able to invite Dr Andrew Curran, a practising paediatric neurologist, to speak about the learning brain. He has spoken at the conference before and was inspirational, informative and very entertaining.
The conference committee have agreed that to assist head teachers who wish to return their schools on Friday 10 March an earlier finishing time would be a good idea. We will therefore finish at 12 noon. We will supply delegates who wish to get away quickly with sandwiches.
We will keep you informed about the programme as it develops, so lease look out for the flyers that will be emailed to you between now and Christmas.
If you have any special requests or ideas for the conference next year please don't hesitate to make contact. Rooms for partnership meetings can be arranged free of charge.
Lynn Knapp - chair of the conference
Pip Marples - conference organiser
